Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Fishing With Friends ("the game") and this website collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is provided by UHOH Games ("we", "us"). Contact: support@fishingwithfriends.uk.

Error reports

When the game hits an error or crashes, it can send us an automatic report so we can find and fix bugs. A report contains:

• the error message and where in the game's code it happened;
• the last lines of the game's log;
• the game version, your operating system and graphics card;
• which island or menu you were on;
• a random ID for that play session, which changes every time you start the game.

Reports do not include your Steam ID, chat messages or your computer's user name (we remove it from file paths before sending), and we don't store your IP address. We use reports only to fix bugs, under our legitimate interest in keeping the game working. You can turn reports off at any time in Settings > Accessibility > Send Error Reports.

Feedback and bug reports

If you use Feedback & Bugs in the game's Esc menu, we receive your message, the game version and, if you leave "Attach log and system info" on, the island you're on, your operating system and graphics card, and the game's recent log lines (with your computer's user name removed). No Steam ID or account is sent. We use it only to fix bugs and improve the game. Feedback is deleted within one year.

Support messages

If you contact us through the support form or by email, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and help you.

Steam

The game uses Steam for your account, friends, lobbies, multiplayer connections, achievements and cloud saves. Valve handles that information under the Steam Privacy Policy. Other players in your world can see your Steam name, as in any Steam game. Your save data is stored on your computer and in Steam Cloud.

Where it's stored and for how long

Error reports and support messages are stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider, in the European Union. Error reports are deleted automatically after 90 days. Support messages are deleted within one year.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@fishingwithfriends.uk. Because error reports carry no name or account, we can only find yours if you give us details such as the time and game version. If you're in the UK or EU and unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Children

We don't knowingly collect information from children beyond what's described here, and error reports can't identify anyone.

This website uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date above.
